Travel Bloggers - just to capture the memories
Since we quit our jobs at the beginning of 2024, our travels have been nothing short of transformative. We started our journey in Penang, where we indulged in a tantalizing array of delicious fruits, immersing ourselves in the local flavors. After that, we traveled to Ipoh to visit a friend and sample even more mouthwatering dishes, further enriching our culinary adventures. We then took a scenic train ride to Hatyai, crossing the Malaysia-Thailand border and enjoying the vibrant landscapes along the way.
From there, we kicked off our European adventure with a two-week volunteering stint in the picturesque French countryside through a Workaway gig, immersing ourselves in local culture while giving back. After that enriching experience, we spent a few delightful days holidaying in the enchanting streets of Paris, soaking in the art and history. Our journey then took us along the legendary Camino de Santiago, where we hiked from France into Spain, embracing the camaraderie of fellow pilgrims. We found relaxation in a charming seaside town in Spain before heading to Madrid and then onto Portugal to explore the breathtaking Fisherman’s Trail.
After our European escapade, we ventured up to Budapest and Romania, where we marveled at stunning landscapes and rich traditions. Finally, we basked in the sun-kissed beauty of Greece, savoring its vibrant culture and breathtaking views. Each destination has not only broadened our horizons but also deepened our appreciation for the world around us.
One of the highlights of our travels was diving in Sabah, home to the world’s number one dive site. We had the incredible opportunity to stay on the world’s only oil rig converted into a dive center, where we explored vibrant coral reefs and diverse marine life. The experience was surreal—diving into crystal-clear waters by day and enjoying stunning sunsets over the ocean by night. It was a unique blend of adventure and relaxation that left us in awe of the underwater wonders that await in this breathtaking region.
