How to Get to Sipadan and Mabul
Ready to start your adventure? Getting to Sipadan is a breeze! First, you’ll fly into Tawau Airport. From there, you’ll hop into a vehicle for a scenic 1.5-hour ride to Semporna. Once you arrive in Semporna, it’s time to jump on a boat for about a 60-minute transfer to Sipadan, depending on the tide. The Seaventures Dive Rig: Our Home Away from Home
What made this adventure even cooler was where we stayed— Seaventures Dive Rig! Imagine an oil rig turned dive center! It’s not just a place to crash; it’s your launchpad for diving adventures. Our comfortable room, complete with air conditioning, was the perfect spot to unwind after a day in the sun. We loved the option of twin-sharing rooms or a cozy suite for couples—perfect for our little getaway.
And let’s not forget about the stunning sundeck! This was the ideal place to relax and soak in breathtaking sunsets after an exhilarating day of diving. Whether we were chilling with a book or enjoying a drink while watching the sun dip below the horizon, it was a perfect way to cap off our days.
With direct access to the house reef, we could dive whenever we wanted—no guides needed! It felt like having our own private underwater playground. We dove into the house reef at all hours, living the motto “Live. Dive. Jump.” to the fullest!
After a day of thrilling dives, we were always ready to refuel. The food on the dive rig was absolutely next-level. Seriously, we were blown away by the delicious meals!
One of the best nights? The BBQ night! Just picture it: the sun setting over the horizon as the chefs fired up the grill, filling the air with the mouthwatering aroma of freshly caught fish, marinated meats, and colorful veggies. We feasted on grilled snapper, juicy chicken, and perfectly charred veggies—all while laughing and enjoying the company of our dive buddies.
